On the 14th, the Daejeon Regional Branch of the Federation of Artistic & Cultural Organization of Korea (hereafter Korea FACO), led by Chairman Seong Nak-won, announced that they have signed a business agreement with VNK TV Home Shopping, led by Chairman Jung Il-hwan, to promote Daejeon's arts through the provision of video materials and broadcasting content, and to foster the development of both organizations through education on animation and webtoon production processes.
On the afternoon of this day, a business agreement ceremony was held at the Daejeon FACO meeting room, attended by relevant individuals such as Seong Nakwon, the chairman of the Daejeon FACO, Jeong Il-hwan, the chairman of VNK, and Cheon Myeong-hwan, the director of the International Cooperation Office at Mokwon University.
In particular, this business agreement, which was held for the first time after the election of Seong Nakwon as the new chairman of the Daejeon FACO, includes various cooperative measures such as △utilizing the content and video materials of both institutions △broadcasting a variety of artistic and cultural content of the Daejeon FACO on VNK TV for promotional purposes △collaborating with the FACO across the country to distribute and broadcast diverse content necessary for broadcasting and securing effective broadcasting of artistic and cultural content △joint cooperation on the development of various business platform programs △joint cooperation on the utilization of basic infrastructure of both institutions.
In addition, through this agreement, there are plans to create a mascot animation character for VNK TV's home shopping and utilize it in real-time during live commerce broadcasts, similar to the character Pororo. The character will be created through a competition for students in relevant departments at Mokwon University.
The Daejeon FACO plans to establish an academy in collaboration with the International Cooperation Office at Mokwon University to provide animation production and webtoon creation education, with the goal of educating professionals for the Vietnamese market. In addition, as TikTok is very popular in Vietnam, there are plans to train influencers through TikTok's business academy (show host education) and operate live commerce broadcasts simultaneously on TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
